Bingham Area Health Center was the first practice of the HealthReach Community Health Centers. We are proud to be celebrating our 35th year of operation! Each day our dedicated staff members provide medical and dental care to area residents and visitors. In addition, the Bingham Health Council, our community board, provides ongoing feedback and support to our practice.

The health center is an outpatient practice offering a wide range of primary care services from birth to retirement and beyond. In 1975, we launched our practice with 7 patients. In 2009, we provided health care services to 1,750 area residents. In addition, last year 941 patients took advantage of our dental services.

The health center provides family medical care to citizens from many towns in Upper Kennebec Valley. These include Bingham, Caratunk, Embden, Moscow, Pleasant Ridge, Solon, The Forks, West Forks, and others. Our providers maintain strong collegial relationships with Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan where patients obtain hospital services if needed.

The health center was originally located in a house at the end of Main Street. Through the extraordinary fundraising efforts of the Bingham Health Council, we relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility in 2002, when we needed to expand to accommodate our growth in patients. In addition, generous area residents and visitors have donated exceptional works of art displayed throughout the facility, which provide a pleasant setting for all.

Known as the "Gateway to the Great North Woods," Bingham offers attractions for every season. Impressive rivers, superb fall colors and abundant snow provide a vibrant backdrop for residents and travelers. Noted for its white-water rafting, hunting and snowmobiling opportunities, Bingham is an idyllic community with much to offer the outdoorsman.
