In 2010, Bingham Area Health Center celebrated 35 years of providing quality healthcare and prevention services to our neighbors. With the continual support of the Bingham Health Council, our community board, we are looking forward to many more years of successful service. Patients, regardless of age, have access to an array of primary care services. The 1,542 patients served in 2010 act as a testament to the success of a practice that was a mere 7 patients strong in 1975. In addition, last year 1,207 patients took advantage of our dental services.

The health center provides family medical care to citizens from surrounding towns including Bingham, Caratunk, Embden, Moscow, Pleasant Ridge, Solon, The Forks, West Forks, and others. Our providers maintain strong collegial relationships with Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan where patients obtain hospital services if needed.

The growth of the practice necessitated a move from a house on Main Street to a new facility in 2002. The new building was made possible through the tremendous fundraising efforts of the Bingham Health Council. Donations from local artists add familiar warmth to the practice.

Located on the Kennebec River, Bingham is home to over 250 families. The town's 35 square miles of mostly forested land exhibits natural splendor in all seasons. The outdoorsman is sure to enjoy white-water rafting, hunting, and snowmobiling. Fly Fisherman are encouraged to fish the Kennebec where trout and salmon are frequently caught.
